Christopher Reed

Christopher Reed is Distinguished Professor of English and Visual Studies, and on the faculty of women’s, gender and sexuality studies, at Penn State University. He has degrees from Amherst College and Yale University. He is the author, co-author or editor of numerous books (as well as articles and book chapters), most recently Bachelor Japanists: Japanese Aesthetics and Western Masculinities (Columbia University Press, 2017), which received the Modernist Studies Association Book Prize. Reed was awarded the Faculty Scholar Medal for Outstanding Achievement in the Arts and Humanities at Penn State in 2019.
