Harold Regier grew up in Burrton, Kansas, taught several years in a one-room country school, graduated from Bethel College (BS) in North Newton and Mennonite Biblical Seminary (BD) in Elkhart, Indiana, was ordained as a minister by the General Conference Mennonite Church, served under the conference's Board of Missions as the Associate Director of Camp Landon Mennonite Mission in Gulfport, Mississippi, became the General Conference Secretary for Peace and Social Concerns located in Newton, Kansas, and eventually served as the long-time  Director of Offender/Victim Ministries, an inter-faith restorative justice and prison ministries agency based in Newton. He also served in two short-term pastorates. Harold is married to Rosella Wiens, is the parent of two adult children, and has three grandchildren.
